One of the best things I have watched this year.
This film is absolute dynamite.
Dynamic for every single moment visually. Colorful and energetic for nearly every frame. The "bounty hunter" or I guess "hitman meter maid" or whatever you could call her occupation has such a cool design. I went back and watched the other shorts featuring her and I noticed how much her design improved from one I already liked.

The medium of animation made certain features become the focus for the sake of movement, which I appreciate in a design because it encourages simplicity, Despite being in such a visually complex film, all of the designs here are really memorable and easy to draw, which I hope leads to fanart and the like.

I will also say that the character writing was very well done. In a few lines, you get an idea of how the big dude is confident about getting out of this situation in one way or another, the apes are all implied to be genuine threats and the MC is shown to be slightly in over her head but able to handle situations like this.
Truly the greatest employee of our time.

I personally think it has alot of Panty and Stocking influence, which I love because not many shows have tried to keep that punchy action film vibe with the low key aesthetic qualities. I am basically talking about how the music enhances the mood.
Speaking of which, another aspect of it which some won't notice is that the color palette for this and all of the LIV films are really interesting. Deep shadows and dull autumn tones really help the film keep a distinct style.

I could go on and on but I more or less think it's the kind of film that would get me to make films, which is probably the highest praise I can think of, assuming my words matter whatsoever.
